Package deal

This package progresses you to a certified and experienced PADI Divemaster and includes:

  • PADI Divemaster training and certification (1 month): knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises, and hands-on practical assessment.

  • PADI Divemaster phase (3 months): knowledge development, elaborate experience, and the best possible preparation for becoming an Instructor

  • You will stay in a private staff rooms (single bed, with shared bath room)

  • 3 Meals a day

Is This Package for You?

Prerequisites to join this training program:

  • At least 18 years old

  • Advanced Diver certified (PADI or similar)

  • Rescue Diver certified (PADI or similar)

  • EFR® Primary and Secondary Care completed within past two years

  • Medical Statement with physician confirming you are ‘fit to dive’

  • 40 logged dives before starting the training

Four intakes per year

We have four intakes in 2021, which will start on:

  • February 1st, 2021

  • May 1st, 2021

  • Aug 1st, 2021

  • November 1st, 2021

These are the start dates for the PADI Divemaster Certification. Once you finish this training you automatically move on to the PADI DM Experience Phase.

Good to know

  • Spending money for toiletries and going out. This depends on the person.

  • Diving insurance: DAN insurance is approx. EUR 53, once off year payment.

  • PADI Fees & Renewal: After completing the PADI Divemaster training you will pay PADI application fees of approx. EUR 102.

  • Every year, PADI Divemasters pay a membership renewal fee to PADI. This is due by 31st December (only candidates sitting IE in December are exempt from paying the renewal in the same month).

This program consists of two phases:

  • PHASE I) PADI Divemaster Certification (1 month)

  • PHASE II) PADI Divemaster Experience (3 months)

PHASE I: PADI Divemaster Certification

This challenging and rewarding course will give you an internationally recognized certification. The certification leads to employment worldwide as a Divemaster. Be a role model who follows responsible dive practices and shows care for the underwater realm.

What You Will Learn during Phase I

You will develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. Your training consists of knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises, and hands-on practical assessment. Conducted over 1 month, the training consists of three modules:

Module 1: The Knowledge Development section comprises of:

  • The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster

  • 9 Knowledge Reviews

  • The formulation of an Emergency Assistance Plan

  • A 2-part final exam

Module 2: Pool Training, the water skills and stamina section includes:

  • Swim tests (400m swim, 15min tread, 800m snorkel swim, and 100m diver tow)

  • Equipment exchange

  • An in water rescue assessment

  • Demonstration of the basic 24 Scuba Skills

Module 3: Dive, the Practical Application module includes:

  • Mapping an open water site

  • Divemaster conducted program

  • Conducting dive briefings

  • Dive setup and management

  • Assisting on an entire Open water Course

  • Assisting on continued education and leading certified divers in Open Water

Once you finish Phase I

As a divemaster you will be able to:

  • Supervise training and non-training related diving activities

  • Conduct dive briefings, scuba reviews, and skin diver course

  • Assist in Discover Scuba Diving programs and lead additional dives

  • Lead Discover Local Diving programs

  • PADI Divemaster is the first step in your diving career

PHASE II: PADI Divemaster Experience

Once you have finished the PADI Divemaster certification, you will proceed with the PADI Divemaster Exprience Phase. This offers an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge, experience and provides the best possible preparation for becoming an Instructor.

What You Will Learn During Phase II

This training aims to assist and focus your revision of key subjects that you must learn through independent study. You will also have classes and workshops to further develop your dive knowledge and understanding of PADI standards and procedures. 

What you will do:

  • Lead dives

  • Conduct Scuba Review programs for out of practice divers

  • Assist instructors with student divers

  • Assist with beach operations or maintenance where required

  • Pick up another 80-100+ dives

Attain real leadership skills and confidence from the knowledge you can handle real responsibility. And take the extra time to continue your education by completing other courses including skippers, gear servicing, etc...

Once You Finish Phase II

Completing the PADI Divemaster Experience phase makes you an experienced Divemaster, and is vital for those going on to do the Instructor Development Course.

Ask any Course Director (Instructor Trainer) and they’ll confirm that the calibre of Instructor candidates who have real Divemaster experience is far above those who have just done the required training alone.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations will be refunded on deposit as follows:

  • More than 2 months before course start date: 100% deposit refund

  • 2 months or less before course start date: 50% desposit refund

  • 28 days or less prior to course start date: No refund

  • Course invoice must be paid in full prior to arrival

  • For Covid-19 related cancellations, proof of cancellation reasons beyond one’s control would be required for a full refund.
