WELCOME TO OCEAN GRAVITY

At Ocean Gravity Bali Dive School you will find a small and professional scuba diving Bali team sharing the great passion for diving. Our dive center Bali open his doors in 2016 under Swiss management. We are proud to offer all our services in German, French, Italian and English.

In recent years, we have gained a lot of experience in the diving industry, as a customer, instructor or manager. However, our goal and dream was always to open our own dive center Bali that seemed the best destination. As most of the resort and hotel are concentrate in the south of Bali, Sanur is the perfect location from which to explore all Bali’s dive sites.

Our day tours and safaris can be booked individually and we are always fully in line with the wishes of the guests.

Newcomers and experienced divers are all welcome. We offer all PADI Bali courses and can also put together individual packages on request. Of course, snorkelers are also welcome. Your PADI Open Water diver Bali, is recognized internationally by all the main diving organization. You will be certified Open Water diver after you manage all the skills in shallow water, and after you did 4 dives in the ocean, where you’ll will have put everything you learn in practice.

The practical training will start in a swimming pool, and it is the most essential part of the training if you want to enjoy the open water dives, feel safe and get the most of it. A good fitness and motivation, are key factors to enjoy the course, even though nowadays, diving is practiced by more and more people in the world.

Channel Point, Penjor Reef and Jeladi Wilis offer a bit different bottom composition each of them. There is a lot of marine life to see and those dive sites are ideal for beginner and experienced divers who seek adventure not far from civilization:

Sanur Dive Sites:

CHANNEL POINT - Channel Point is another surprise for divers. The access is really easy, 5 minutes boat. At Channel Point, you will discover exotic coloured fishes. This dive site is about providing you with a perfect location to have a good training as well as snorkelling. Currents can sometime be strong but we will guarantee a enjoyable time.
PENJOR REEF - Just 15min with traditional boat from the main beach. Penjor Reef is a popular dive sites in Bali. The reef is home of huge amount of healthy corals and sponges. It is an interesting site if you are avid of macro life. Underwater photographer will have a great diving experience, even with an average visibility.
JELADIS WILLIS - The Jeladi Wilis is a perfect for conducting a course or beginner divers that want to improve their skills. Located 5 min north from Penjor reef, both sites are pretty similar. It start shallow with a bottom in slope. It is configured with lots of mushroom of coral that hide an extraordinary marine life not seen elsewhere. An interesting dive site for night dive but awareness is require as current is unpredictable after sunset.

Dive Sites in Padang Bai:

BLUE LAGOON - Just 5min from Padang Bai beach, Blue Lagoon is a bay with scenery of postcard. With clear water and bottom of white sand, the site is an easy spot for beginner, advanced divers but also snorkeler.
The conditions and configuration of the site are make him a perfect place to conduct a course. The place is shelter of superb animals like cuttlefish, octopus, moray eel and lot of colorful fish. If you venture into the deep part you may spot some shark.
PURA JEPUN - Pura Jepun is bottom of coral in slope. The best place in Bali for beginner looking to discover the underwater life for the first time. In the shallow part diver can spot nudibranch, Moray eel and colorful fish where in the deep part they can spots bigger animal like sharks or round ribbontail rays.
Particularity as well is a sunken speed boat in the sandy part.
WHITE SAND BEACH - Unlike its name this site has very little sand but it has a wide variety of coral. It is more suitable for advanced diver as condition change from time to time and it start in deep water. The configuration is wonderful with lot of soft and hard coral. Amazing dive site where you can spot the green turtle as well as big school of bat fish. Awareness is require as current can be strong and push the divers into the channel.

Swimming with the sharks

Scuba Diving Candidasa is simply amazing! With water sometimes a bit chilly and most of the time a fantastic visibility,
Candidasa’s dive site offer a diverty of healthy coral and a great variety of animal life. The 3 dive sites are famous for sight of all kind of Sharks: Whitetip and Blacktip reef Shark, the rare wobbegong Shark, the very rare Cat Shark and even Hammerhead if you are lucky!

Dive sites in Candidasa:

MIMPANG - Located 5 minutes outside Candidasa’s bay. This site is three exposed rocks connecting in the water making it a giant wall. The diver will drift along East wall before return against the current along the West wall. Diving in Mimpang can be challenging but rewarding because divers can see Moray eel, Reef Shark hidden in the slots of the pinnacles. Even Thresher Shark can be spotted if you are lucky!
TEPEKONG - Gili Tepekong is giant pinnacle that offer an impressive day of diving. Small animals as well as big pelagic such as reef shark, barracuda, Stingray and turtle are often seen here. The particularity of this site is there are various small cave that diver can swim through. Diver should be careful as there is sometime down current that can surprise them. The visibility is most of the time crystal clear as current of fresh water past through the site.
BIAHA - Biaha is located 20min by boat from Candidasa’s bay. This spot is the only one in Bali where only few people dive a day due to rough condition. But if you are an experienced diver it is definitely worth the trip. The Shark cave make it unique. When entering in the cave it takes few second to diver’s eyes to adapt the darkness before seeing the sharks swimming inside.

SEE THE GIANT MANTA RAY

Scuba Diving Nusa Penida is just fantastic! It offers incredible dive sites where you have great chances to see the famous Manta Ray and rare Mola Mola. Just a short forty five minute boat ride from Sanur harbour you will get to some of the best dive sites in Bali. Enjoy the beautifully clear waters and amazing corals, dive with the magnificent Manta rays or relax an exhilarating drift dive on the north of the islands.

Dive sites in Nua Penida:

MANTA POINT - As the name states, this site is where you can encounter numerous manta rays. The main alimentation of Manta Rays is plankton and this water is full of it. For that reason this site have a huge concentration of Manta. The main spot to see the Manta Ray is the cleaning station which is a big rock 5m under the surface. Swell, current and low visibility can make sometime this site difficult to dive even for experienced diver. However when the conditions are optimum diver will appreciate flying next to this majestic animal and give the experience of a lifetime.
CRYSTAL BAY - Crystal Bay is popular dive sites in the area. Indeed during the high season (July-Sept) the rare Ocean Sunfish or Mola Mola can be spot here. It comes up where small fish are to be cleaned. But at this time of the year water can drop significantly to 20 ℃. So you must not be sensitive to cold. Crystal Bay has a beautiful shallow reef where shark and turtle can hide in some crack. The deep part of the site has a bottom of white sand where diver can see small critters, sting ray or nudibranch.
TOYAPAKEH - Toyapakeh is a big bay. It is full of coral with big sponges and bommies. This site is a shelter of a huge variety of marine life. Divers will enjoy to be drift that pass between Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan. It can be strong so experience is require if you want to dive here. In the right season Mola Mola can be seen in Topyapakeh but you need to go deep.
SD - SENTAL - PURA - BUYUK - The North of Nusa Penida offer a combination of 4 dives sites. Impressive corals, big sponges, and lot of reef fish, are pretty much what those sites are about.
The reef bottom in slope start shallow and according to your experience you can dive quite deep here. The drift is breath-taking and can run really fast depend on the time of the day. They are easy site accessible to all level but you will need to be careful to down current.

A REEF WITH EXTRODINARY CREATURES

Amed is located in the North of Bali two hours’ drive from our center. The scenery on the way will give an exotic view of what Bali is. Amed is a relaxing place with lot of local restaurant and café in front of the beach. It remains a village to visit if you want to be away from all crowded places. It stays authentic and didn’t lose a bit from his culture and tradition.

A REEF WITH EXTRODINARY CREATURES

There is a large variety of site for a diving trip suitable all level of diver and snorkeler. With perfect conditions all year around, Amed has one of the most healthiest and colourful coral in the island.

Dive Sites in Amed:

JEMELUK WALL - This is site is ideal for beginner diver and snorkeler. Depend the direction of the current we may decide to start from the shore or boat. You will begin in white sandy bottom and after few minutes a garden of coral will appear. Most of the marine life are macro and small fish with pipefish, crabs and nudibranch. At some point you will reach the drop off that can go down to 50m so for experienced diver if you decide to dive deep you may spot some big pelagic like sharks or stingray.
PYRAMIDS - The sites is located just few minutes by traditional boat from Jemeluk Beach. The Pyramids are artificially reef structures in which have become home to a large variety of marine life. You will drift along the beach and discover some small animals hiding inside. From time to time sharks can be seen hunting in the reef.
BUNUTAN - You can start by boat or from the beach. Depending on the sense of the current we will choose the best solution. The site is a huge wall where you can see a colourful macro life. There is a huge diversity of marine life on this site that will impress even the more experienced divers. If you go around 25m it is possible to spot the pygmy seahorse.
GILI SELANG - Gili Selang is a small Island at the extreme east of Amed. In the shallow part you will see some beautiful coral and bummer but as soon you exceed the 10m black coral will disappear for let place to black sand and rocks. Obviously this site is more for experienced diver with strong current, but it worth it as you can spot big pelagic like Hammerhead shark and in the right season even Mola Mola.

Tulamben is on the North Coast of Bali two and half hours from our dive center. It’s quiet village most known for the USAT Liberty. The Liberty is a cargo ship sunken 15m from the shore. People from all around the planet make the trip to Tulamben as this site is see by the diver community has one of the best shipwreck in the world.

This village has several dive sites all differ from each other from wall diving, muck diving to wreck diving we guarantee that you will find the dive spot that suit your expectations.

Dive sites in Tulamben:

USAT LIBERTY WRECK - The liberty Wreck is cargo ship lying few meter from the main beach. The boat was torpedo by Japanese sub-marine during the WWII in the large of Tulamben. It’s only few years later that the Indonesian authorities decide to take the ship out and during the extraction the Volcano erupt and push the cargo back in the ocean in the position where it is now.
This site is one of the best experience diver can have in the island. The Wreck is almost fully covert by healthy coral and sponges. In some part it is possible to swim inside safely.

DROP OFF - It begins from the beach. The first minute the divers swim along the sandy bottom in slope where they can see some critter, nudibranch and Lionfish. Later appear a cliff full of coral, sponge and colourful fish. In the crack of the wall many small animal are hiding in the dark like Moray eel, Frogfish and Scorpionfish
For advanced diver if you dive to 25m you may spot some pygmy seahorse.
BATU KELEBIT - This name comes from the couple of rocks that lie offshore. As you go deep the reef plunge dramatically to 50m. This site is shelter of various species of coral and small fish. Sometime big pelagic can be seen in the deep part but diver must apprehend it with attention as down current can come from nowhere.

This site is one of the best experience diver can have in the island. The Wreck is almost fully covert by healthy coral and sponges. In some part it is possible to swim inside safely.

DROP OFF - It begins from the beach. The first minute the divers swim along the sandy bottom in slope where they can see some critter, nudibranch and Lionfish. Later appear a cliff full of coral, sponge and colourful fish. In the crack of the wall many small animal are hiding in the dark like Moray eel, Frogfish and Scorpionfish
For advanced diver if you dive to 25m you may spot some pygmy seahorse.
BATU KELEBIT - This name comes from the couple of rocks that lie offshore. As you go deep the reef plunge dramatically to 50m. This site is shelter of various species of coral and small fish. Sometime big pelagic can be seen in the deep part but diver must apprehend it with attention as down current can come from nowhere.
